Submissions

Bakerhouse Press accepts submissions of nonfiction and fact-anchored fiction. We publish carefully chosen books grounded in real events, research, and lived experience—work that engages ideas, history, and contemporary life with clarity and depth.

We are selective by design and publish fewer books in order to give each project close editorial attention.

What We’re Looking For

We are currently interested in full-length book projects in the following categories:
– Narrative nonfiction
– History, memoir, and research-driven works
– Fiction grounded in real events, history, or lived experience

While our primary focus is nonfiction and fact-anchored fiction, we are also open to work that engages cultural commentary, opinion-driven argument, and political ideas, provided it aligns with our editorial values.

What We’re Not Considering

At this time, we are not accepting submissions of:
– Poetry
– Short fiction
– Essay collections
– Literary journals or periodicals

Please review these guidelines carefully before submitting.
